Made from high-purity nickel (typically ≥99.6% - ≥99.9% Ni), these strips offer lower electrical resistance compared to nickel-plated steel, resulting in less heat generation during high-current discharge. Pure nickel also provides superior corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term reliability even in humid environments. Pure nickel strips are brighter and have better flexibility and ductility.
Optimal 0.15mm Thickness for Spot Welding
This thickness is the "sweet spot" for most battery spot welding applications—thick enough to handle substantial current, but still thin enough to be welded reliably by portable and mid-range spot welders without burning through the strip or damaging the battery cell.
